Product Care

Product Care

Keep the line. Preserve the fabric.

Branton pieces are designed for a refined daily wardrobe. Care should be direct, gentle, and consistent: protect shape, respect fabric, and let every shirt, jacket, trouser, knit, and layer keep its quiet structure.

Care Principle Less heat, less friction, less crowding. Most menswear looks better when care is steady rather than aggressive.
Rule 01

Wash cold.

Use cool water and mild detergent for everyday cottons, tees, shirts, and casual layers.

Rule 02

Air dry flat.

Avoid high heat whenever possible to help preserve shape, hand feel, and garment length.

Rule 03

Store with space.

Let jackets, shirts, and trousers breathe instead of compressing them into crowded rails.

Rule 04

Read the label.

Always follow the garment care label first, especially for knits, structured layers, and outerwear.

Step 01

Prepare the garment.

Empty pockets, fasten closures, turn dark colors inside out, and treat small marks before they settle into the fabric.

Step 02

Use a gentle wash.

Choose cool water and a mild cycle for most daily pieces. Reserve stronger settings for durable items that truly need them.

Step 03

Dry with restraint.

Air drying is preferred for tees, shirts, knitwear, and casual layers. Lay knits flat and avoid hanging them wet.

Step 04

Store by structure.

Hang shirts, jackets, and trousers on proper hangers. Fold knitwear and heavy casual layers to protect the shoulder line.

Care is part of the silhouette.

A crisp shirt, a clean trouser line, a jacket that keeps its shoulder, and knitwear that holds its shape all depend on patient handling. Avoid the quick fix that damages the garment over time.

Shirts

Steam before pressure.

Use light steam to release creases. Iron on the recommended setting and work from collar to cuff.

Knitwear

Fold, never stretch.

Store folded on a clean surface. Avoid wire hangers and heavy stacking that can distort the shape.

Trousers

Respect the line.

Hang with room between garments. Brush away surface lint and avoid repeated high-heat drying.

Outerwear

Refresh between wears.

Air out after use, spot clean carefully, and allow structure to recover on a broad hanger.

Care By Category

Different pieces need different handling.

Use the garment label as the final guide. These Branton notes help you make better everyday decisions for shirts, T-shirts, trousers, jackets, knitwear, shorts, and accessories.

01 · T-Shirts

Turn inside out.

Wash with similar colors, avoid harsh detergents, and reshape the hem while damp.

02 · Shirts

Protect the collar.

Button the placket before washing and press at controlled heat for a clean finish.

03 · Jackets

Do not crowd.

Give jackets room on the rail so shoulder structure and lapel shape stay intact.

04 · Knitwear

Dry flat.

Support the garment while damp and fold it once fully dry to prevent stretching.

05 · Trousers

Hang cleanly.

Use a trouser hanger, empty pockets, and let fabric rest between wears.

06 · Accessories

Store separately.

Keep belts, caps, scarves, and small goods away from moisture and heavy compression.
